The heat was still oppressive. The boat was still lying idle. My Golden Skinned Lover had long gone. She just dived gracefully overboard (think Arc of a Diver) out of Sheer Boredom. She said something about how the company sucked.... ehh?...what's all that about ?
The rest of the crew (who up to this moment had ceased to exist) wandered aimlessly around deck muttering to themselves. Then the news.....Captain sick....Cap'ns dead. Captain F. Valley has contracted a nasty and extreme dose of Nora Battey Virus and has succumbed horribly.
So it's FV RIP. You and your unique slant on life will be missed greatly. Maybe we can all meet up for the Party on the other side of the universe when Charlton get promoted in May ?

Hi Rick-Frankie got out at the top and its the only way to go, but he will be missed.
Nicole Kidman was at her most gorgeous in Dead Calm and I am trying to remember her getting out of the sea onto the boat.
Sam you could try a bring back Frankie campaign,but I fear the man has his sights on other things. Did you get your thong back ?

If as you say Rick - Frankie has his sights set on other things then I cant see a "We want Frankie back" campaign working. I'm willing to give it a try though & therefore any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Or possibly Frankie's little backhanded compliment to the Liverpool fans which they misunderstood and then barraged Frankie with all sorts of bile.

The sudden demise of Frankie Valley is having a profound effect on all who visited his site on a daily basis. His daily tongue-in-cheek servings & the banter it produced meant that many friendships were made & because of this FV was like no other. Indeed, not so long ago I was fortunate enough to meet up with the great man himself along with many of regular contributors (including your good self Rick) & it was good to finally put faces to the names I had become so accustomed to over the years & for that my abiding memory of Frankie Valley are the friends I made & have inadvertently lost.
The friends are still there Sam. The thing that amazes me was FV's exhausting,constant daily output. I once asked him how he kept coming up with new ideas...he just said "there's always something to write about isn't there".I'm sure the rest of us bloggers wished it was that easy !
